Why Indie Shorts?

Because I love short books! I am a busy woman, and I don't want to spend ten or twenty minutes on a novel, then off again to what I need done. I love reading, and I used to read longer works, but I don't have the time. Shorts fill that need to escape, in one session.

However, places like Amazon's sample can give such a very short version of it on the sample. Sometimes after a title image, copyright info, etc., we barely get a chance to see if it would be good. Reviews on short stories are one of my best friends, but they aren't always as prevalent. So, I feel like it's something that should be done out there.

Is that 10,000 word story worth the price? Did it last? Was there a stupid sample that took up a HUGE sum of the book?

These are things that really need to be explored. I like shorts, and I want to help people who like good shorts to find them too.


I will also be giving stories that are longer than 10,000 words a chance, but I only read the first 10,000 words unless I really enjoy it.
